Jeff Derby of House of Prayer Christian Church or otherwise known by its acronym HOPCC has been a long-standing member and minister since the church started in 2004. House of Prayer is a nationally recognized church with locations in several states. It is known in some places as the Assembly of Prayer Christian Church. This church is a non-denominational church that preaches and teaches from the Bible. House of Prayer Christian Church has many fruitful ministries and is a strong missionary-minded church that has sent missionaries to five continents over the years. The missionary work that House of Prayer has started is continuing to the present with reports and testimonies from Christians throughout the world that this incredible ministry of prayer has blessed.
Jeff Derby of House of Prayer Christian Church Missionary Trips
Jeff Derby has been privileged to go on several missionary trips with HOPCC. Starting in 2009, Jeff Derby and his wife Sarah Derby, along with Alexander Schmidtke and Gilda Schmidtke, who are another HOPCC missionary married couple, traveled to Nigeria. While in Nigeria, the House of Prayer missionaries preached and taught at a weeklong church conference and had the opportunity to preach at the Christian Union at the University of Ibadan. Then, Rev Jeff Derby traveled three times to India and traveled extensively into many regions of India such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Chirila, AP, Kerala, Nagaland, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The missionary work in India consisted of preaching in churches, fellowship, prayer in people’s homes, teaching to groups of Christians, special prayer meetings with the ministers of the Gospel in India. In addition, Rev Jeff Derby was instrumental in helping coordinate House of Prayer charitable giving to different ministries in India. After ministering in India, Rev Jeff Derby and his wife Sarah traveled to Israel, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Rome, the Vatican, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
Jeff Derby of House of Prayer Christian Church continues to work with the many House of Prayer affiliates located in the countries that he and other House of Prayer missionaries have visited. The bond that was created is strong, and the experiences are unforgettable. To this day, Rev. Jeff Derby of HOPCC helps to coordinate and assist missionaries going on HOPCC missionary trips. Furthermore, Rev. Jeff Derby is thankful to be a part of a missionary movement that is fulfilling the great commission of Christ. The Bible says in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” And also, in Mark 16:15, He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” And truly, House of Prayer Christian Church is following this mandate from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
